Did Democrat Puppet Press Get Kosovo WRONG?

For instance, what were the specifics on Bill Clinton's Kosovo Bombing from 16,000 feet by US planes with NATO markings in March 24 to June 10,1999.

What did US press say when Chinese Embassy bombed in Kosovo on May 7.1999? Outdated maps were blamed when bombing from 16,000 feet had killed about 50 in an Albanian Muslim refugee convoy on April 14 and AFTER the Chinese Embassy was bombed ANOTHER 100 or so were killed on May 14.

To the aggravation and consternation of anonymous NATO leaders who were livid a year later, Amnesty International said Wednesday, June 8, 2000, that NATO violated international law in its bombing war over Yugoslavia by hitting targets where civilians were sure to be killed.

To single out one in particular, the leftist London-based Amnesty International human-rights group said NATO's bombing of the Belgrade headquarters of Radio Television Serbia on April 23, 1999, "was a deliberate attack on a civilian object and as such constitutes a war crime." (1)

The KLA, Bill Clinton's kind of people, formed in 1991, started ambushing police on call, attacking police stations like Bill Ayers' blasting

and Puerto Rican pardoned-by-Bill-Clinton-Irishman-killing bomb nuts had in the US, and Yugoslav government offices in February 1996, which caused a build-up in the number of Yugoslav security forces in the region. This led to a more widespread conflict into a conflict, initially seen as an insurgency. The KLA was regarded by the US as a terrorist group until 1998 when it was de-listed for classified reasons rumored to be political. US negotiator Robert Gelbard (7)even described KLA as terrorist.(3) Coincidentally, in the late 1990s, the United States started warring against Kosovo/Serbia mostly at Clinton’s urging. Clinton’s war against Serbia fairly epitomized his moralism, his arrogance, his refusal to respect law as in the US about his "Acting Unpresidential Charges" , and his fixation on proving his virtue by using deadly force, regardless of how many innocent people died in the process.

Americans may debate for many years what President Clinton’s legacy should be, but far too little notice is given to his comments on Kosovo. The United States launched a war against a European nation largely at Clinton’s behest. Clinton’s war against Serbia epitomized his moralism, his arrogance, his refusal to respect law, and his fixation on proving his virtue by using deadly force, regardless of how many innocent people died in the process.

Clinton claimed on March 24, 1999, that one purpose of bombing Serbia and Kosovo was "to deter an even bloodier offensive against innocent civilians in Kosovo and, if necessary, to seriously damage the Serbian military’s capacity to harm the people of Kosovo." The CIA had warned the Clinton administration that if bombing was started, the Serbian army would hasten its efforts to expel ethnic Albanians. The White House disregarded this warning and feigned surprise when mass expulsions began.

Yet NATO Supreme Commander Gen. Wesley Clark said on March 26 that the upsurge in crackdowns on ethnic Albanians was "entirely predictable." Since NATO had no ground forces in the area ready to intervene and since NATO planes stayed three miles above the ground to minimize pilot casualties, NATO could do nothing to stop the surge in ethnic cleansing. Violence spurred by the bombing was quickly invoked as the ultimate justification for the bombing.

The longer the bombing went on, the more brazenly NATO ignored the limits it had initially imposed on its targets in order to limit civilian casualties. In the final weeks of the 78-day war, all that mattered was finding new targets so that NATO spokesmen could continue their daily bragging about a "record number of sorties flown" and "record number of bombs dropped." According to Human Rights Watch, at least 500 civilians were killed by NATO bombing; the Yugoslavian government claimed that 2,000 civilians were killed. NATO repeatedly dropped cluster bombs into marketplaces, hospitals, and other civilian areas.

As Serbian civilian casualties rose, purported Serbian atrocities mushroomed. On May 13, 1999, Clinton declaimed that "there are 100,000 people [in Kosovo] who are still missing" — clearly implying that they might have been slaughtered. Clinton also claimed that 600,000 ethnic Albanians could be "trapped within Kosovo itself, lacking shelter, short of food, afraid to go home, or buried in mass graves dug by their executioners."

On April 15, 1999, Clinton opened a speech to newspaper editors by proclaiming the "stark contrast between a free society with a free press and a closed society where the press is used to manipulate people by suppressing or distorting the truth." However, NATO consistently misrepresented its own actions. The Washington Post’s Bradley Graham noted on May 24, 1999, that Pentagon and NATO

briefings about the air operation have ... acquired a propaganda element aimed at demonizing Milosevic and his Belgrade government and imparting a moral imperative to the conflict. U.S. and NATO spokesmen, in scripts closely coordinated with the help of several public affairs specialists loaned by Washington to Brussels, routinely mix reports on allied strikes with fresh accusations of atrocities by Yugoslav forces.

Graham noted that the spokesmen routinely sought to delay admitting NATO responsibility for bombing civilians for "at least one news cycle or two before owning up to attacks gone awry."

For Clinton and the US "Lapdog, Democrat Puppet Press" bombing Serbia was indeed a triumph of idealism. The Washington Post loyally reported that the day after NATO planes bombed the Chinese embassy, "Clinton complained to British Prime Minister Tony Blair that news coverage was not fully presenting the moral dimensions of the war." Thus in the closing days of the bombing, the Washington Post dutifully reported that "some presidential aides and friends are describing Kosovo in Churchillian tones, as Clinton’s ‘finest hour.’" The Post also reported that according to one Clinton friend "what Clinton believes were the unambiguously moral motives for NATO’s intervention represented a chance to soothe regrets harbored in Clinton’s own conscience.... The friend said Clinton has at times lamented that the generation before him was able to serve in a war with a plainly noble purpose, and he feels ‘almost cheated’ that ‘when it was his turn he didn’t have the chance to be part of a moral cause.’" This is very revealing that the bombing was for legacy purposes and insuring that evil would triumph which is a Democrat, Demican, and Republicrat (RINO) goal.

Thus Clinton’s Kosovo peace was accomplished on June 10, 1999, NATO and the government of Yugoslavia reached an agreement to end the bombing.

In his June 10 victory speech, William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton proclaimed:

The demands of an outraged and united international community have been met. I can report to the American people that we have achieved a victory for a safer world, for our democratic values, and for a stronger America.... We have sent a message of determination and hope to all the world.... Because of our resolve, the 20th century is ending not with helpless indignation but with a hopeful affirmation of human dignity and human rights for the 21st century.

Shocked experts who compared the final surrender agreement with the Rambouillet text were surprised to note that NATO had redacted most of its most arbirtary ,important and onerous demands made three months earlier. In a June 11 speech at an Air Force base, Clinton bragged: "Day after day, with remarkable precision, our forces pounded every element of Mr. Milosevic’s military machine, from tanks to fuel supply, to anti-aircraft weapons, to the military and political support." Throughout the bombing campaign, NATO and Pentagon spokesmen gushed about the slaughter NATO was inflicting on the Serbian military.

Some say that once the bombing stopped, the Clinton administration was stunned and amazed to see the Serbian army withdraw in good order with polished buttons and good morale. A confidential postwar U.S. military investigation concluded that the damage claims had been exaggerated nearly tenfold. In reality, only 14 tanks, 18 armored personnel carriers, and 20 artillery pieces were taken out, despite the claimed dropping of more than 20,000 bombs on the Serbian military.

On the other hand, NATO did have a very high "kill-rate" for the cardboard decoy tanks that the Serbs had carefully erected all over Kosovo. At the end of the war, the Serbian military largely was unscathed, but the country’s civilian infrastructure was in ruins. NATO bombs were far more effective against women, children, hospitals, and retirement homes than against Serb soldiers.

After the peace agreement, NATO was tagged with a surplus of dead Serbian "collateral damage" civilians and a severe shortage of dead ethnic Albanians who had supposedly been massacred in "ethnic cleansing". In late October, pathologist Emilio Perez Pujol, who fielded a team of Spanish investigators in Kosovo, told The Times of London, "I calculate that the final figure of dead in Kosovo will be 2,500 at the most. This includes lots of strange deaths that can’t be blamed on anyone in particular." He did not want to mention Albanian Muslim brutalities. A New York Times piece, by Chris Hedges, based on interviews with current and former KLA commanders, former officials of the Albanian government and Western diplomats, describes the KLA leadership as brutal, corrupt and power-hungry. Reported were allegations that Hashim Thaci and his two right-hand men, Azem Syla, the KLA's defense minister, and Xhavit Haliti, its ambassador to Albania had ordered the murder of top commanders in their own organization and potential rivals within the Kosovo Albanian nationalist movement in a power struggle. Thaci, nicknamed,"The Snake", was implicated in a vicious screwdriver, broken bottle murder of his very own roommate, a Kosovo Muslim Albanian reporter, Ali Uka, found dead in his apartment in Tirana, the Albanian capital in 1997. (2)

In a special videotape address to the Serbian people, Clinton declared,

"I want you to understand that NATO only agreed to be peacekeepers on the understanding that its troops would ensure that both sides kept their commitments and that terrorism on both sides would be brought to an end. They only agreed to serve with the understanding that they would protect Serbs as well as ethnic Albanians and that they would leave when peace took hold."

In a Thanksgiving 1999 speech to American troops in Kosovo, Clinton proclaimed, "Thanks to you, we have reversed ethnic cleansing." Clinton noted that there had been "almost one million refugees," but "because we acted quicker [than in Bosnia], they all came home." Clinton ignored the ongoing massive exodus of Serbs speeding northward running for their very lives. Jiri Dienstbier, the UN representative on human rights, declared in late 1999,

The spring ethnic cleansing of ethnic Albanians, accompanied by murders, torture, looting, and burning of houses, has been replaced by the autumn ethnic cleansing of Serbs, Romas [gypsies], Bosniaks, and other non-Albanians accompanied by the same atrocities.

One U.S. government official told the Washington Post in August 1999: "It looks like it’s over for the Serbs. We can talk about peace, love, and democracy, but I don’t think anyone really knows how to stop this." A November 1999 report by the International Crisis Group concluded that "there are as many killings right now in Kosovo as there were before NATO intervened."

Clinton also declared in November 1999 that the Kosovar children "love the United States ... because we gave them their freedom back." Perhaps Clinton saw freedom as nothing more than being tyrannized by people of the same ethnicity. Once the bombing started, NATO transformed former terrorists into "freedom fighters" — a term explicitly used in the June 1999 agreement between the NATO and the KLA. As the Serbs were driven out of Kosovo, Kosovar Albanians became increasingly oppressed by the KLA, which ignored its KLA commitment to disarm.

In his 1999 talk to troops in Kosovo, Clinton bragged, "You just look around this room today. We just celebrated Thanksgiving, with, I bet you, conservatively, 25 different ethnic groups represented among the American military forces here in this room — maybe 50, maybe it’s more."

Clinton’s standard of virtue seemed to consist of little more than ethnic bean counting for diversity: the greater the number of ethnic groups, the greater the virtue. He talked as if every bomb dropped was a triumph for multiculturalism and diversity. He was far more concerned with counting the number of ethnic groups at dinner than in noticing the ongoing purge/massacre/exodus of the Serbs. Since the United States promised to bring peace to Kosovo, Clinton bears some responsibility for every burnt church, every murdered Serbian grandmother, every new refugee column streaming northward out of Kosovo. Despite these problems, Clinton bragged at a December 8, 1999, press conference that he was "very, very proud" of what the United States had done in Kosovo.

The legacy of the Serbian War

Clinton’s experience in Kosovo gave him great empathy for Boris Yeltsin when Yeltsin sent in the Russian military to obliterate Chechnya. At a summit of Western leaders in Istanbul in November 1999, Clinton declared,

"We want Russia to overcome the scourge of terrorism and lawlessness. We believe Russia has not only the right but also the obligation to defend its territorial integrity.... Russia has faced rebellion within, and related violence beyond, the borders of Chechnya. It has responded with a military strategy designed to break the resistance and end the terror."

Meanwhile as Clinton endorsed Yeltsin’s policy, the Russian military was leveling Grozny with long-distance rockets and pounding the entire province with its bombers, making little effort to limit civilian casualties. A few weeks after Clinton endorsed Yeltsin’s policy, the Russian military made an announcement that they would kill any person still residing in Grozny at the end of a 72-hour period. (At that time, an estimated 40,000 civilians, largely elderly, were still in the city of Grozny.) This vicious and arbitrary ultimatum did not prevent Clinton from later characterizing the Russian military assault as an effort to "liberate Grozny." By "liberating" citizens of their lives and property, Russians gained Grozny.(8)

Epilogue

In a CNN interview shortly after the peace agreement with Serbia was announced, President Clinton spoke at length about what his aides termed the "Clinton doctrine":

"There’s an important principle here.... While there may well be a great deal of ethnic and religious conflict in the world ... whether within or beyond the borders of a country, if the world community has the power to stop it, we ought to stop genocide and ethnic cleansing."

The "Clinton doctrine," if strictly followed, would mire the United States in dozens of skirmishes, wars and conflicts around the world. But even though there is little danger that Clinton would actually risk following his own doctrine, his all-caring rhetoric generated positive press as he owned the press.

In 1999, NATO leaders included NATO General Sir Michael Jackson who said that Serbs (It appeared that very old Serbs remaining were being accosted and murdered.) could not be protected by K-For NATO troops if they stayed which seemed to encourage Albanian Muslim killers. (6)

In Pristina's 40,000 Serb population, only 400 are left after KLA occupation when gallant Sweds and other NATO troops sought to protect Serbs . Statistics from the Serb Christian church and a human rights group in Pristina suggest as many as 316 Serbs have been murdered and 455 more kidnapped, many of them killed, since Nato's arrival.

In the aftermath, U.S. President George W. Bush declared in 2001 that the war against terrorists would be unremitting and relentless with those countries affording shelter to terrorists not be spared. These words come too late for the Serbs, Gypsies, Jews, Turks and other non-Albanians with burned out Christian churches, driven from their ancestral homes in Kosovo by the murderous terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army. It is much too late also for Macedonia, which has been forced by the United States, the European Union and NATO to give up and yield to all the demands of the Albanian terrorists in Macedonia.

In November of 2001, stalwart Serbians in the Mitrovica area lived surrounded by barbed wire to be threatened daily with murder and mayhem by their Albanian neighbours. The Balkans, since the end of the bombing, have been in constant turmoil caused by the KLA terrorist activities of gunrunning and drug smuggling and generalized anarchy. (3)

A scathing article outlines Clinton objectives for generalized promotion of evil in the Balkans.

The article says President Clinton wanted to prove to the Muslim world that America really cared and that Americans were willing to destroy a Christian people to prove it. Article explains in detail how KLA framed Serbs by moving dozens of Bosnia Muslim troops killed in action that were exchanged in a "body swap" with Serbs on Thursday, October 4,1995.

Dr. Rajko Dolecek cites an article titled "Muslims slaughter their own people – Bosnia bread queue massacre was propaganda ploy, UN told" (The Independent, Aug.22, 1992); as well as a report by French TF1 journalist Bernard Volker that "The mortar bomb which killed 68 people in a Sarajevo marketplace and evoked a NATO ultimatum against the Bosnian Serbs was fired from Muslim positions, according to a UN report" (Feb. 5, 1994); and an article titled "Serbs ‘not guilty of massacre’ - Experts warned US that mortar was Bosnian" (The Sunday Times, Oct.1, 1995). "At that time," wrote Dr. Dolecek, "U.S. Colonel John Sray (military intelligence) published his report "Selling the Bosnian Myth to America: Buyer Beware!" (Foreign Military Studies Office, Oct.1995)….Mladic knew from Serb intelligence that the explosions were organized by the Muslim authorities, the latest ("Markale II") with the knowledge and approval by the official West because NATO needed a pretext to start the air raids on RS or Republika Srpska (Serbia) and to become practically an official ally of Croats and Muslims."(5)

In June of 1999 after cessation of bombing, KLA returned to orchestrate a wave of ethnic cleansing against Serbs, Roma or Gypsies and other non-Albanians, kidnapping and executing many, and forcing the majority to flee the province. It has been revealed and extensively documented by former ICTY chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte and the Council of Europe’s investigator Dick Marty, that convincing evidence shows that several hundred of the ‘disappeared’ non-Albanians had their organs removed by the KLA and sold on the international market. (7) Former KLA leaders, such as current Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, remain dominant in Kosovo today, in charge of, according to leaked NATO intelligence documents, a pyramid of organized crime, including the heroine trade.

As of 2007, Serbs have residence in Bosnian Serb republic which they call the Republic of Srpska Krajina? Slobodan Milosevic was a primary target for trial on war crimes.

Slobovan Milosevic's extradition from Serbia to The Hague in 2001 was Carla del Ponte's greatest coup as ICTY prosecutor.

In the late 1980s Carla del Ponte's investigation of the so-called "pizza connection" brought her into direct conflict with the Sicilian mafia, who christened her "the whore" ("La Puttana").

Ms Del Ponte, and investigative judge Giovanni Falcone, uncovered the connection between the Italian drug trade and Swiss money launderers.

Cosa Nostro also tried to assassinate her with a mere half ton of explosives found hidden in the foundations of Ms Del Ponte's Palermo home. Giovanni Falcone was killed by explosives planted in his car.

Three Masters of Mayheim and Atrocities

Gregor Guy-Smith , US lawyer who just happened to show up to defend Idriz Balaj and Ramush Haradinaj and Lahi Brahimaj with the KLA heinous war crimes got away with it until the summer of 1998. "Mouthpiece" Gregor Guy-Smith filed a complaint against the ICTY chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte, alleging she ‘violated professional ethic’ when she gave an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel in which Del Ponte said that she had ‘no doubts about Ramush Haradinaj being guilty of war crimes’ and that the OTP, or Office of the Prosecution, had the evidence to prove this. She also stated that witnesses were being killed off leaving only witness 30 who had the good sense not to use his real name, and Shefqet Kabashi both of whom refused to testify via video link as other witnesses died in Kosovo. Mouthpiece says,"Da witnesses died of natural causes." (10) but did not elaborate about who was making the deaths look "natural." "Usual unusual suspect" Allah is not suspected although he was a sore loser in the battle to rule and is now traditionally in charge of "just desserts" for his followers.

The prosecution still retained "witness number one" who was being protested because he is not dead.

On 10 March 2005, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia cited the detailed charges against Ramush Haradinaj, Idriz Balaj and Lahi Brahimaj. The indictment was confirmed on 4 March 2005, by Judge Bonomy.

The document states that the KLA forces under the command and control of Ramush Haradinaj, including the "Black Eagles" under the direct command of Idriz Balaj harassed, beat or otherwise drove Serbian civilian and Roma/Egyptian civilians out of these villages, and killed those civilians that remained behind or had refused to abandon their homes and that the Muslim "Black Eagles" continued to mount similar attacks against the Serb and (Nazis also singled out Gypsies or Roma) /Egyptian civilians, as well as Albanian civilians perceived as collaborators with the Serbs. The indictment further states that many abductions by KLA forces took place in the Dukagjin zone and that tens of civilians went missing. The indictment also alleges that the KLA forces under the command and control of Ramush Haradinaj had full control of the operational zone and did not tolerate the presence of any other Albanian factions fighting against the Serbs, such as the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo ("FARK").

The indictment alleges that in the second half of May 1998, a make-shift detention center was established at the KLA headquarters in Jablanica/Jabllanicë and that between then and August 1998, at least 16 non-combatants were detained, beaten and tortured there. One is known to have died while the others are still missing.

The indictment also states that during the end of August and the beginning of September 1998, Serb forces temporarily retook the area surrounding Glodjane/Gllogjan and that a Serbian forensic crime scene team conducted an investigation in the vicinity of the canal leading to Lake Radonjic/Radoniq, the Ekonomija Farm in Rznic/Irzniq and the road leading to Dasinovac/Dashinovc. They identified at least 39 bodies and partial remains. Several of these remains have been identified as those of Serb, Roma and Albanian civilians who disappeared between April and early September 1998 in the Dukagjin area.

The indictment also alleges that as Deputy Commander of the Dukagjin Operative Staff and the responsible local KLA commander, Lahi Brahimaj ran the KLA detention facility at Jablanica/Jabllanicë, ordered, supervised and participated in the beating and torture and murder of persons who were detained there and that he personally abducted one civilian and took him to the Jablanica/Jabllanicë detention facility where he was repeatedly beaten, and personally took him from the detention facility to a potential place of execution. (12)

In her home country of Switzerland, Carla del Ponte campaigned against the bank secrecy for which Swiss financial institutions are famous so much that it upset the status quo and angered a banking executive who branded her "the unguided missile".

She got them in the end, she won when Swiss banks reformed the secrecy rules that protected international criminals.

After 8 years, feared-by-the-good-loved-by-the-bad UN Secretary General Kofi Annan agreed that the job was too big for one person and she was duly replaced by one person on 1 January 2008, when she was succeeded by Serge Brammertz instead of getting an assistant to be in charge of the Rwandan genocide. Nevermind there are four main slavery countries:

UPDATE: As of September 12,2012, a regular status conference scheduled under the Tribunal’s Rules every 120 days to consider the course of the proceedings and to allow the accused to raise any health issues or problems with the conditions of detention. In February 2009, the Trial Chamber sentenced former vice-president of the federal government Nikola Sainovic, VJ general Nebojsa Pavkovic and chief of the MUP Staff for Kosovo Sreten Lukic to 22 years. General Dragoljub Ojdanic and Vladimir Lazarevic received 15 years in prison. Former Serbian president Milan Milutinovic was acquitted of all charges. The prosecution didn’t appeal against Milutinovic’s acquittal. (11)
